One hour dramas are vastly different than features in many ways. As such, the following will also be examined: Have you timed out your commercial breaks correctly? Is there a punch between acts to keep viewers tuned in? Have you successfully matched the tone of your script to the tone of the show itself (if the script is for an existing series)?

Shorts can sometimes be more difficult to perfect than features. Their condensed nature presents a tremendous challenge as the opportunity to develop story and character is limited. But a great short can make for a fantastic calling card.

Studio Coverage (not for writers)

Unlike a Script Analysis, studio coverage is not designed for writers. It’s purpose is not to help writers better their script, but rather to serve as a reference for studio executives, producers, agents and managers. Coverage generally includes a logline, synopsis, comments and ratings chart for concept, story, characterizations, dialogue, commercial potential and budget range.
